Prysmian Ocean Racing
Hello all,
All’s well aboard the boat Prysmian Group. Last night, the wind was very shifty in terms of direction. As a result, I spent my night on deck trimming sails, manœuvring and trying to get the boat making headway. All the movement on deck gave me a chance to warm up as the nights are very cold up here.
This is a fairly new scenario for me, as I’ve never been so far north. We still have 350 nautical miles to go to make the UNESCO waypoint, with a series of weather transition zones to deal with and with it the chance to watch some new colours in the skies at sunset.
Today, it’s 4 months to the day until the Vendée Globe. The Vendée Arctique Les Sables d’Olonne is an opportunity and a first step towards this race and the fantastic experience that is ‘the Everest of the seas’.
