I’ve taken care of my little planet, as The Little Prince would say

Still in the same trio, hunting the hunters, Giancarlo PEDOTE (Prysmian Group) admitted during this morning’s satellite link-up that he is keen to ‘beat it’!
“Things are going very well: we’ve begun to hit fresh breeze, which is cheering. I’ve had 24 hours becalmed, but I’ve hit some wind now. We’re entering the announced breeze, which is a morale boost.
It’s a very pronounced front, which I’ve been following for the past five days. You can find all sorts in cloud masses like that. The weather models are not accurate. The boat got moving again 90 minutes ago (interview carried out at 05:15hrs French time), so I’m able to sleep. If I’m not making headway, I don’t sleep. I haven’t looked too hard at the positioning of the group in front: I received the update on the ranking info 20 minutes ago and I initially focused on my own little group. This small three-way match is nice, but I’m keen to beat it! My hope is that I’ll manage to rack up the miles. I’m sorry, but I want to leave (he laughs).

The boat’s going along nicely. I’ve dedicated my time to her, doing all the odd jobs – lots of minor damage -, I’ve carried out a load of checks, lubrication… I’ve taken care of my little planet, as The Little Prince would say.
The guy’s in good shape! Over the past two nights, I haven’t slept at all, as I had no ‘speed’. I’m sleeping because I’m tired, but otherwise I’m finding it hard to get off to sleep. It feels good to be making headway. Having the boat making headway at the target speed is my herbal tea”.
